Sandeezy Zoo....a friggin broiler

I went to the San Diego Zoo this past Saturday for Brian's work luncheon. We played tennis in the morning and basically basting in our own sweat. It was pretty gross. We were both glistening and dripping. Stupid idea to shower after tennis because about 10 minutes after we entered the park, we were just as sweaty. Food was mediocre....hotdogs or sloppy joe's....bleh. But it was alright since we were both pretty hungry.

It felt like a chore sitting under what little shade that the umbrellas provided....eating a 3rd rate lunch....losing more fluid than I was putting in.

It got better once we got on the Skyfari. I believe we were on it 3 times or so. It was the best thing that we did there...cooled us off nicely.

I'd have to say that the polar bears were the most fun to watch. I felt bad for them though....hanging out in a winter coat in the dead of summer.

It was so nice to get back in the car....I love AC!

Bang Bang!!

So I decided to get bangs today. I've been thinking about getting bangs for a long time. I asked my former stylist if I should get bangs and she told me that with my face shape that just layering my hair would be better...so that's what I did...

But I decided to go somewhere different and the stylist there told me to try it out! And I actually like it! The only thing is that I think I should have gotten it cut a little shorter so it won't grow over my eyes so soon. Oh well...I can always go back.

Feeling like I can never get enough sleep. Come three....I am nodding off. But then again...I should be sleeping now instead of updating the world on my life...

Nothing much to update you on. Korea...I don't want to annoy anyone by always talking about it...but I do...I do want to live there...not for good...but for a little while, so I can get a taste of it.

For a while I was convinced that I didn't have to actually live in Korea to fill that empty feeling. But it's not all about that empty feeling. It's more about the lifestyle that I want to immerse myself in. Sigh...

I don't long to go back as much as I did right after I came back from Korea in late March, but I still have that longing. I need to fulfill that longing....or I'll just grow old...regretting. At least if I do go, I'll know. But this isn't the simplest decision to make. I would be leaving my friends, my family, my love.. for a whole year!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I could be clouding myself in a false adoration of Korea. I could hate it there. I may even get really homesick. Why? Why do I want to go so much? Is it really any different? Whenever I see a plane fly overhead on my drives home from work, I get that weird mushy homesick longing feeling. I think to myself..."I wonder if that plan is coming from Korea"

I look at the Korean Air ads on TV and get that longing feeling...I took United to Korea though...

These days, the only radio I listen to at work is korean radio. I'm basically listening to korean all day long. I'm listening to it as we speak!

The weekend was good. We had mother's day dinner at Macaroni Grill. Mom liked the pasta dishes. It was actually her first time at an Italian place. Carol and I decided we need to take her out more...LOVE YOU MOM!

Brian was here over the weekend so he could have dinner with his folks on Saturday night for Mother's Day. It was very nice having him here. My mom said that she liked his voice. ...hehe...I never notice, but I guess Brian has a nice voice. Very manly.

Brian and I had yummy Pat bing soo on Saturday, but the Kiwi was hard! bleh!

Saturday night after dinner with mom, I went to meet Sheila. It was nice to see her again. We went to Bin Bin Konjac. I'm so glad that I'll be hopefully seeing more of her in the near future!

Congrats Sheila!!!

That's it for now...

It's been too long

It's been way too long since I have last written....
Korea has come and gone...(it was great by the way!) It was very tiring, but I had a really good time getting to know my cousins and my aunts and uncles and grandparents. I even went to one of the cities of Busan called "Suh Myun" and did all the things that young people do there. Here is the list...

1. Ride on the subway
2. Watch movie "The King's Man"
3. Eat spicy rice cake, pah jun, and fish cake soup at one of the street vendors...all for $4.00!
4. Have yummy Kiwi drink for $1.00 !
5. Go to the bookstore
6. Go to the Lotte Plaza department store.
7. Go shopping for cute earrings for my sis at the never ending row of outdoor vendors.
8. Take sticker pictures
9. Buy cute stationary at the neighborhood gift shop.
10. Shop at the underground shopping row right by the subway....(stores are tiny!!)

This all happened in one day~ whew!

How many days to Korea?

Seventeen!! Yes! Seventeen more days until I go to Korea!!! W00T!!

It's coming up closer and closer! Makes me think about how fast the time will fly when I am in korea. I better enjoy every minute of it!! I hope to!

So this weekend, I was supposed to go to Camarillo to see Brian and go to Lee's parent's Casino night, but that didn't happen. Carol was making one of her rare appearances home this weekend and I didn't really want to miss that. So Brian was so kind to let me pass on the Casino night. Carol and my mom and I went to the mall and enjoyed ourselves. Oh yes..before we did that, we went to Souplantation to eat ourselves silly...hehehe. Afterwards, Carol modeled her outfit that she bought from Express and then I went upstairs to start reorganizing my closet. I always have to reorganize my closet every few weeks or so. I really need to get into the habit of keeping my closet nice...All the time! Easier said than done. But then I ended up sitting in my pile of clothes...researching through different magazines, to see how to draw eyebrows. See...I've always fallen in the 15% who don't really take care of their eyebrows. But then when I realized how important eyebrows can be to a person's appearance. I didn't realize how light my eyebrows were. So I am going to start to take better care of my brows.

Sunday my mom and I went to Costco so we could start buying gifts for our trip to korea. We didn't end up buying what we wanted to because the coupon for the discount didn't start until the 27th. But it was nice to go. So fricking crowded at Costco though. I started to get frustrated. People are just all over the place!! I know that it is expected, but man. I had to back up and pave the way because otherwise, no one was going to go anywhere. I did a lot of sigh-ing. *sigh*

What is the big deal with Costco anyways? We bought detergent, two bags of chips, some eye cream ($20.00) , two bottles of glucosamine, and toothpaste, and it all came out to $120! Too much. Too much. I think I'll stick to just regular markets.

Brian came by on Sunday night. He was on his way back to SD from Camarillo and he just couldn't pass up on an opportunity to see his lovely girlfriend. muahhahahahah. We wento to Noodle Planet to have some pad thai, spring rolls, and some boba. We then came back to my place and watched this documentary of the Chandra Levy case. I can't believe they couldn't find her for a whole year! Tsk Tsk. We had a nice time watching TV and cuddling. Too bad that he had to leave soon after, but it was still nice. Love yoU!

Carol's Belated Birthday

Today, we went to have dinner at BCD to celebrate Carol's 22nd Birthday. We were gonna go to a Chinese place, but Carol didn't want to spend too much money so we went to get yummy tofu instead...that "Sahl Lim Ggoon!!" hehehehe. It tasted extra yummy today too! Afterwards, we went to the Cafe next to my dad's store to have some dessert. We had coffee/tea and Madeline cookies. Sorry Carol that it wasn't as eventful as it should have been.

Well, afterwards I watched a bunch of Korean dramas....namely Goong (The Imerial Household). I love the main guy...he's so cute!

Here are the pictures from our dinner.
