Tough Tuesday
I came to work and found this in a package from our DC office. One of our former employees gave it to me to thank me for some stuff I helped her out with. It was a box of chocolates. I had never seen a box like this before so I decided to take a picture.
Here is a picture of the chocolates.
Today was a tough Tuesday. I think I was sitting at my desk the whole day minus getting up to get water and going to the bathroom. I got a lot done though. I actually got around to doing stuff I had on my to-do list. But it feels good to get those things off my desk. Pushed them somewhere else.....
I'm still waiting for my movie from Netflix to come. It is "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton". Josh Duhamel....so beautiful.... sigh....

Thanksgiving Weekend
I think I took this photo around 3:30 pm yesterday on my way to the gym. I heard leaves swishing and swashing in the wind and the palm trees looked like they were gonna break in half. Well...it wasn't that bad. And it was in a way, refreshing. Granted I was shocked more due to the increase in static...it was nice. It however, made for a very cooold night. brrrrr...
I don't have any pics of us gorging on the turkey, but it was a pretty good meal. We ate it for dinner and breakfast. My mom, however, made it last a lot longer. She was actually still eating Thanksgiving turkey last night!...hehehe
Let's see...oh yes, I did a lot of knitting and "frogging". Frogging is when you rip your work because you made a mistake that can't be repaired with a crochet hook. I was pissed off when I realized that I had to frog my work. Bleh. I think I actually stopped knitting at 3 in the morning. But I am glad to say that I fixed my mistake...here is a picture of the sock.
...so far. It's pretty big huh...
So Friday, Irene came over to visit me. We went shopping in Arcadia and ate at the Cuban Bistro in Alhambra. We had the garlic chicken with tangy orange marinade. It was pretty good! I especially liked the beans and rice. The black beans were embedded on top of the rice...it didn't look appetizing, but it sure was yummy. It was a good night. It was so cute how she told me that Alhambra seemed like a different country...hehehe =)
This is Irene and I at the Cuban Bistro. It looks like that plastic bag handle is grabbing my sweater..
Oh yes! Irene bought me some yummy Caramel Apples!! It was covered with caramel, white chocolate, and brown sugar...mmmmmmm
Today I went to visit Grace at her place. We had lunch at the yummy Olive Garden. We shared the Chicken Marsala and the Tour of Italy. It was all very yummerific!! I liked sharing our food because I was able to taste more food! We then went shopping...well I did more window shopping, but we walked and talked and got to catch up on things since I hadn't seen her for about 3 years! I couldn't believe how close I actually lived to her and we didn't meet for so long! Well I'm glad that I am meeting old friends again. Hi Grace! Thanks for a great day!! Here are a couple of pics...
My hair is doing a weird static shock thing in the second pic.... gay

BBQ and Aubergines
Here is Kiley, looking like she is gonna bite Ruby's hand. Jason looks like he is quite content with his cheesecake. So we celebrated Ruby's, Jason's, and Dave's birthdays over the weekend with a nice BBQ and a night out at Aubergines. The entrance fee was a bit steep because DJ Mark Farina was mixing that night. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the night. I'm actually having a lot of fun...not getting drunk! It's kinda fun to watch these drunk girls blubber and fall and all that jazz..hahah.
Here is our usual threesome pic courtesy of Sheila

Earlybirds
Yea so I'm trying to "step it up" for the Holidays. I know that I am going to be eating more. So I need to compensate accordingly. I hit a plateau already and now I am noticing that I am slowly falling off it.... I need to get back up and higher. So fricking hard though....that last 10 lbs. Ugh I hate those last 10 lbs.
Ok enough about that. Today is the opening day of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! And guess what movie I'm going to see tonight with my coworkers!!!! Pride and Prejudice!!!?? Yeap, we decided on going to watch this movie a while back when we heard that it was coming out in November. Little did we know that it was on the same day as Harry Potter. I just hope it's not packed there where I can't find parking.
I still need to finish reading Harry Potter anyways. I'm such a slow reader. Well if it wasn't for me falling asleep after just 5 minutes of reading ...I'd probably already finished it! Yea...boo for me.

Is it the holidays already??
Well, yea so it will be just me, Carol, Peter, and mom. I really don't mind at all. I don't really like going to the relatives anyways. I have some issues with them....sigh~ All I will say is that people really need to stop being so cheap. If you can't afford it, that's fine....but if you can...and then some! ...don't be cheap! I would think that as people got older, they learn and do better than when they were young and immature. Yea...people are who they are...it's hard for people to change. No respect...no respect.
I can't wait for this weekend! It seems like it will be fun from all the evite reminders I've been getting this week! haha! I'm glad that we found a club that both the girls and the guys like....and dirt cheap too!! w00t!!! I am gonna do my very best to take as many "candid" pics as I can without bugging people. hehehehhehe...

A second start
So since it is nearing my bedtime, I thought I would just end this post with a few pictures that I haven't posted yet.
This one is from the time that we had a black out at our house a few months back. It was kinda fun because we had some yummerific chicken that my mom was slow roasting before the power went out. So we ate chicken by candlelight...
Another picture I have now is....of course...Vegas. I long to go back. Sigh~
